Linda Kade is a registered architect, licensed in California since 1985. She has designed numerous award-winning residential and commercial projects. Ms. Kade enjoys working with engineering professionals, contractors, clients, and municipal authorities to create beautiful architecture.

SELECTED PROFESSIONAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Marx|Okubo Associates, San Francisco, CA 2014-2020: Sr. Associate/ Forensic Architect
Was Lead Architect for team designing a historic restoration for the Palace Hotel Garage in San Francisco, a 5-story 1920's Art Deco concrete structure. Produced related plans and obtained approvals and permits from City of San Francisco. Also performed corrective designs and plans for multiple buildings with waterproofing defects.
Donley Construction Consultants, San Rafael, CA 2006-2008: Senior Architect
Provided construction dispute resolution graphics for litigation use in multiple cases. Executed forensic architecture corrective designs and plans.
RHL Design Group (now Stantec), Petaluma, CA 2005-2006: Project Architect
Worked in the McDonald’s Restaurants division, which included entitlement and permit applications for West Coast regional projects for both new and renovation work. Designed a new conceptual prototype for exterior image refreshment projects, elements of which are currently in use throughout the country (shallow yellow arch).
Engstrom Design Group, San Rafael, CA 2000-2001: Architect/Project Manager
Managed Nordstrom corporate restaurant projects from concept design adaptation through construction completion. Was primarily responsible for new construction and remodeling projects. Provided design development and construction administration for projects in New Jersey, Florida, Utah, Arizona and California. Managed staff and all sub-consultants.
Studio Z, Petaluma, CA 1985-1997, 2004-2005: Principal/Architect
Owned and managed a full-service architectural firm. Responsible for design, preparation of construction documents, permitting and construction administration. Work included over 700 projects and was a mix of civic, commercial and residential projects. Civic work included the pedestrian bridge at the Petaluma Turning Basin and numerous City of Petaluma Park buildings. Historic restoration was a specialty. Notable local projects include the Phoenix Theatre, the Great Petaluma Mill, and the award-winning Salenger Building. Proactively managed employees, fostered their development, and mentored intern architects through licensure.
