Linda Kade is an architect, licensed in California since 1985. She has 17 years of forensic experience and an excellent reputation as a building envelope expert. Ms. Kade is known for her thorough investigations and evaluations, research, written documentation, litigation support and corrective designs for defects. Her expertise is utilized by regional design firms for peer reviews of plans and detailing, as well as by attorneys for litigation findings, testimony and graphic support.

Leader of multi-disciplinary professional teams performing Forensic Investigations and Property Condition Assessments. Mentored development of junior professionals.
AllWest Environmental, San Francisco, CA 2009-2014: Associate/Architect
Performed Property Condition Assessments per ASTM standards for office buildings, resorts, apartment complexes and schools throughout the West Coast. Assessments included architectural, site, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, finish and disabled access evaluations. Performed a forensic investigation at a large multi-unit housing project in Denver, Colorado for a lending client.
Weir/Andrewson Assoc., San Rafael, CA 2008-2009: Architect/Project Manager
Performed construction and design defect-related forensic investigations and analyses, wrote related reports for litigation and developed corrective designs. Reviewed architectural construction documents for Certificate of Merit cases. Work included preparing litigation support for contractual findings for CalPERS corporate office buildings in Sacramento. Performed field investigations and construction testing protocols for Kaiser Permanente facilities in Vallejo. Prepared a case timeline with document support and findings for construction defect case regarding The Forum Shops at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Performed field investigation and preparation of corrective structural drawings for Marin County civic buildings.
Donley Construction Consultants, San Rafael, CA 2006-2008: Senior Architect
Provided construction dispute resolution services, litigation support and forensic investigations, primarily for insurance cases. Was involved in accidental death case investigations in San Francisco and Pebble Beach. Assessed ADA compliance for commercial property in Oakland. Testified as a defense expert witness in arbitration for a construction delay claims case, resulting in vacation of the claims against our client.
Aquatech Consultancy, Inc., Novato, CA 2001-2004: Architect/Project Manager
Worked as a building envelope consultant to determine water infiltration problems in a wide range of building environments, primarily for litigation defense clients. Wrote protocols for and performed destructive investigations and field testing of construction assemblies, per ASTM and other standards. Developed construction defect solution analyses and corrective details / specifications.
DTA, Inc., Mill Valley, CA 1997-2000: Architect / Project Manager
Provided forensic investigation and project management services for this design-build firm, primarily for litigation plaintiff clients. Managed a construction crew to perform destructive investigations and prototype repairs at large multi-family housing projects in Santa Clara, California and elsewhere. Produced sequential detailing for complex corrective work. Was deposed in conjunction with construction defect destructive investigation findings.
